Click-Through Rate (CTR)

Definition

Click-through rate is the ratio of users who click on a specific link to the total number of users who viewed the page, email, or ad. In SEO, CTR most commonly refers to the percentage of searchers who click on your result in Google.

Why It Matters for SEO

A higher organic CTR means more traffic from the same number of impressions. Optimizing title tags and meta descriptions to be compelling and relevant can significantly improve CTR without changing your ranking position.
